Gourmet Garden
The Gourmet Garden is the major fundraiser each year for the Zonta Club of Trenton/Mercer. Each year, the members of the club choose an honoree to be recognized at the event with a $5000.00 grant. This honoree is chosen from the applications submitted by nonprofit organizations in the Mercer County area. Past honorees include HomeFront, PEI Kids, ChildCare Connection and Children’s Home Society
This year at our Fifth Annual Gourmet Garden, we will honor Heart to Hearts, Inc. in support of their Healthy Lifestyles Program. The proceeds from this fundraiser, also allow us to fund other community outreach programs in Mercer County as well as scholarships and awards to recognize women of exceptional ability.
Our Fifth Annual Gourmet will take place September 25, 2008 at the Princeton Marriott at Forrestal in Princeton, New Jersey from 6 PM until 9 PM. The evening will be a delicious tasting of cuisine and wine from the area’s finest restaurants, caterers, and wineries. Our incredible basket auction is a highlight of the evening! Participants enjoy a unique, memorable experience as we acknowledge our sponsors during the event. We also distribute a program booklet to each attendee (more than 325 in 2007).

Help break the cycle of poverty, hopelessness and violence by supporting programs that address the need of families at risk and enable them to become self-reliant members of our community.
